Liberal Democrat councillors voted this week for Arun District Council to take urgent action on Climate Change.
Lib Dem councillors on the Environment and Leisure Working Group of the Council voted for a motion calling for the Council to prioritise urgent action to combat climate change.
The motion was passed and will now move to Full Council for a vote.
Also proposed for Full Council is a new set of priorities for Arun District Council, endorsed by the Lib Dem group. The new priorities provide key directions for the Council, following the elections in May 2019 that saw the Conservatives lose overall control of the council for the first time in its history.
We'll keep you posted on the outcome.
