Pauline Gregory

Rustington West

Pauline only joined the Liberal Democrats at the beginning of the 2019, but she says: "I wish I’d done so before! I’ve never been a particularly politically motivated person, but I knew who to support when it came to voting. It's only since I joined that I realised the difference being a Lib Dem we can make to others’ lives". Pauline has been a volunteer in a number of local organisations and an active member of the Scout Association for a great many years, currently supporting 1st Rustington as a member of their Executive.

Pauline's particular interest is housing. She believes everyone is entitled to good quality, affordable, settled accommodation. Pauline worked for a number of years in social housing for London boroughs and housing associations and has a broad understanding of social housing and the private rented sector. Pauline has been very pleased to pick up the reins again as Cabinet Member for Residential Services, which includes responsibility for social, affordable housing provision in Arun.

Will was also involved with his family church, Rustington Methodist Church. After finishing school, Will studied Economics and Politics at the University of Kent, where he first joined the Lib Dems in 2014, eventually becoming President of the University’s Young Liberals in his final year at the Uni as well as campaigning as part of the Kent Stronger in Europe team during the EU Referendum.

As a councillor, he is looking forward to campaigning for more opportunities for young people in our area, protecting our valuable local services and increasing our supply of Council Housing to mitigate the damage caused by right to buy and the current housing crisis.

Emily Seex

River Ward - Littlehampton

Emily has lived in Littlehampton for 6 years, which for her is a long time! Before that she lived in London, Australia and Ireland. She says she became a Councillor because she has a daughter now and wants better for her. She want a safe neighbourhood, good schools, better jobs... As a hard working single parent in a one bedroom flat, Emily has a good understanding of how difficult it can be to keep on top of bills, new shoes (do they all grow this rapidly?), let alone housing costs.
Emily believes Littlehampton has so much potential, lovely safe beach, riverside, strong community and some beautiful buildings - old and new. Emily says we need to clean up the town centre and shout about our assets more! She loves Arundel, and says the view of the castle never gets old.
While at Arun Emily would like to set us on a path to take us out of being an area of deprivation. It's a big ask. Emily say that at a time when the two main parties have moved to the extremes of left and right, the Lib Dems provide a home for those of us in the centre ground.
Emily has been Chair of the Littlehampton Regeneration Sub-Committee since May 2019.

I’ve loved being on the environmental committee and I am passionate about being a vegan family and very planet friendly". Sam runs her own company verynicevegan.co.uk and has 4 young children.

Sam aims to bring changes to protect our climate and our local towns. She’d like to do more work on the environment, on making our towns safer and for seeing more local people included in local decisions.

"When the opportunity came along, I grabbed it!".
